Things I know to be true

In honor of my birthday last week, and because it has become a tradition, here are 28 things I learned in my previous year on earth.

1. Stop waiting for the opportunities and go create them yourself. Nobody is going to give you a seat at the table, you have to grab that chair.

2. You are never going to be 100% ready. Go for it, learn as you go, make it good later.

3. Disconnect often. Going offline is not a luxury, it’s a basic need in our times.

4. Say no more often. Resist the urge to over explain yourself.

5. Keep a diary.
